How To Write Great Wedding Speeches.

Having to give a speech at a wedding is a great honor but it can also be stressful, especially if you do not like public speaking like me! So, when the time comes for you to make your speech, don’t dilly-dally. Just do what you have to do and just say what you have to say. In short, just get over it and ‘Just Do It and Just Say It!’ Nonetheless, these simple tips on writing a great wedding speeches can help you relax and have fun during your short wedding speech or wedding toast.

1. Be original. Do not use old material. It is important that you get some good wedding speech examples which you can then modify using things that are unique to your situation.
2. Incorporate an anecdote, either funny or sentimental or both, about the couple. Just remember to be caution since you want to make the couple and the guests smile. Thus, stay away from sensitive family issues (ask the family members), the bride’s and groom’s past relationships (a no-no) and sex jokes (only let it all out in the stag party).

3. Do keep it simple, short and sweet. You might be toasting to the happiness of the bride and groom, and they appreciate it, but the star of the show is, well, them. Think of yourself as an extra. An important extra but an extra nonetheless.
4. Find something unique and make it a focal point of the speech.
5. The most important thing here is just be yourself. You will soon discover that delivering a fantastic wedding speech or toast is almost as easy as everyday conversation with your friends. So, just speak your mind, be nice and everything will be just fine! I have been very lucky to find a website that helps me create unique wedding speeches.
