Cheese and Date Fold Over
Delicious cheese-date appetizer.
Ingredients
- half cup of oleo
- 1 cup cheese
- 1 and a half cups of flour
- 2T water
- 1/4 t salt
- 1 recipe date filling*
Method
- Cream oleo and soft grated cheese
- Blend in salt, flour, and water into creamed mixture
- Chill for 4-5 hrs
- Roll dough to 1/8″ thickness
- Cut with biscuit cutter
- Place 1t date mixture on 1 half of of the circle then fold over
- Press edges with fork tines
- Bake until brown at 375
* Date Filling recipe*1 cup dates1/2 cup brown sugar1/4 cup water-Combine all and cook over low heat until thick as jam
