Chipotle cheese puffs are the perfect little spicy snack that goes great, before or after any lunch and dinner. This delicious, hot chipotle cheese puff recipe is one of the simplest to make and in only 30 minutes, You could be enjoying these scrumptious snacks.

Here’s a great little recipe for chipotle cheese puffs, that is also pretty simple to me. The spicy taste of chipotle chili powder, mix with cheddar and parmesan cheese, stuffed in delicious puff pastry and then cooked to a golden brown, has that wonderful spicy taste, that You will enjoy. These delicious chipotle cheese puffs will only take about half a hour to prepare and cook.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese (shredded)
  • 3/4 teaspoon chipotle chili powder
  • 1 sheet frozen off pastry
  • 1 egg

Preparation

Preheat the oven for 400°” a large baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray. Next in a small bowl, mix the cheese in the chili powder and set aside. Take the egg and lightly beat, with about a tablespoon of water. Next place the puff pastry sheet on a floured surface and roll out to about 12 x 12″ rectangle.

Lightly brush the puff pastry with the egg wash and take 3/4 of the cheese mixture and sprinkle over half of the puff pastry. Take and fold the other half of the pastry, on top of the cheese and lightly pressed down. Then you will want to refrigerate for about 15 minutes.

Take a sheet of puff pastry and cheese out of the refrigerator and place on a cutting sheet, and trim around the edges, then cut into squares. With the egg wash lightly coat each one and then sprinkle the remaining cheese on top. Bake for about 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown and serve hot.
