Easy Dips for Chips

The summertime barbecue season is upon us and one ingredient for a successful backyard party is a great dip for your chips! Here are several recipes you can try out at your next backyard barbecue.

Curry Yogurt Dip

Ingredients:

  • 1 package Cream Cheese (8 oz)
  • ½ cup Plain Yogurt
  • ½ tsp Celery Salt
  • 1 tsp Curry Powder
  • 1 pinch ground Nutmeg

Procedure:

Combine all ingredients in a food processor. Process the dip for 1 minute; until all ingredients are completely blended. Place dip in a bowl and either serve it at room temperature or chill the dip in the fridge for 2 hours before serving.

Spicy Onion Dip

Ingredients:

  • 1 package Cream Cheese (8 oz)
  • 1 package Lipton’s Onion Soup Mix
  • 1 pint Sour cream
  • 1 TBS Tabasco Sauce
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder

Procedure:

Combine all ingredients in a food processor. Process the dip for 1 minute; until all ingredients are completely blended. Place dip in the fridge for 1 hour before serving.

Ham Dip

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Cottage Cheese
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • ½ cup Smoked Ham, diced fine
  • 2 TBS Celery, diced fine
  • 2 TBS Red Onion, diced fine
  • ¼ tsp Kosher Salt
  • ¼ tsp cracked Black Pepper

Procedure:

In a food processor, process the cottage cheese, sour cream and ham for 30 seconds. Add the remaining ingredients and process for another 20 seconds. Place dip in the refrigerator to chill for 1 hour to chill before serving.

Roasted Red Pepper Dip

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Miracle Whip
  • ½ cup Roasted Red Pepper strips
  • 1 TBS Heinz Chili Sauce
  • 1 tsp Malt Vinegar
  • ¼ tsp Basil
  • ¼ tsp Thyme
  • ¼ tsp Kosher Salt

Procedure:

In a food processor, process the Miracle Whip, red pepper strips and chili sauce for 30 seconds. Add the remaining ingredients and process for another 20 seconds. Serve at room temperature.

Blue Moon Dip

Ingredients:

  • Crumbled Bleu Cheese (6 oz)
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1 TBS fresh Cilantro (rinsed and diced fine)

Place all ingredients in a bowl. Whisk the dip with a wire whip until all ingredients are blended together. Chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour before serving.
