Homemade Chip Dip

published by Westy on Aug 21, 2009

An old friend made this for me and I was really hesitant on trying it but once I tried it, I fell in love with it!

This chip dip goes well with tortilla chips and can be made in under 15 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 Brick of Cream Cheese
  • 1 Can Hormell Chili (no beans)
  • Shredded Cheese (as much as you desire)
  • Tortilla Chips

Method

  1. Let the brick of cream cheese sit at room temperature for a few minutes so it is not a solid brick.
  2. In an oven safe container (I use a glass container) that HAS sides, evenly spread the cream cheese on the bottom of the pan.
  3. Next, add the can of Hormell chili and evenly spread atop the cream cheese
  4. Add the shredded cheese on top of everything
  5. Pop in the oven until the cheese on top has melted
  6. Serve with tortilla chips as a dip

*Note* This is best served hot

ENJOY!!
