Homemade Ranch Dressing
In our house we use this dressing for just about everything. We use it as a dip for French-fries, crispy wings and raw vegetables. Sometimes we even use it on the salad.
Ingredients:
- 1 clove garlic, peeled
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- ½ cup Plain Yogurt or Sour Cream
- Juice and Zest of one lime
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh Parsley
- 1 Tbsp chopped fresh Cilantro
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh Chives
- 3-4 drops of Hot Pepper sauce
- 1 Tbsp fresh Dill weed ( dried will do)
- white pepper to taste
- salt to taste
Method:
- Mash the garlic into a paste
- Transfer to a bowl and whisk in remaining ingredients until completely blended
- Re-adjust Salt and Pepper to taste
- Put dressing in a Mason jar or any jar with a tight seal and refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.

I love Ranch dressing, and being in the UK, it’s hard to find the mix. Now I know how to make it I won’t need to worry any more!

I know you have always made your own dressing and I have often thought I should not be so lazy and do it myself…I think I will.

Nothing beats homemade. Although I have been known to indulge in some Hidden Valley.

This is great because you know that it’s healthy and you know exactly what is in it (no hidden ingredients). Sounds really good, I’ll try it.

I have a similar recipe. It tastes so much better then the dry mix doesn’t it?
Thanks for stopping by my site and commenting.

I love ranch dressing and dips. Thanx for sharing the recipe, now I can make one at home without any preservatives.
