Ksheera/sooji Ka Halwa Recipe
This is a recipe of Ksheera.
Ksheera or sooji ka halwa is a south Indian sweet dish made of Rava/Semolina. It is very easy to make and tastes simply delicious.
1 cup rava/sooji/semolina
1 cup sugar
2 cups of water
3 tbs of ghee
A pinch of orange food color (optional)
Few cashews and raisins for garnishing
Fry the cashews in ghee and keep aside. In the same pan fry the rava in ghee on a low to medium flame until the raw smell of the rava goes. Add water to the rava and mix until the rava is cooked. Once the rava is properly cooked add in the sugar. Mix until the sugar is completely dissolved in the mixture. Add in the food color and mix properly. Garnish with cashews and raisins and serve it hot.
