Parmesan Cheese Balls

Parmesan cheese balls are the perfect little bite sized snack. They’re really easy to make and have a spicy taste. Parmesan cheese is mixed with egg and cayenne pepper creating these little cheesy balls of goodness.

This delicious Parmesan cheese ball recipe has a little kick to it. The spicy taste of cayenne pepper compliments the rich cheesy taste of the Parmesan cheese perfectly. These scrumptious cheese balls are fried to a golden brown and are ready in a matter of minutes making them a quick and easy appetizer, that are great for parties or Your next holiday, get together.

Ingredients

  • vegetable oil (for deep frying)
  • 6oz Parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
  • 2 egg whites (stiffly beaten)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Preparation

Start by heating the oil in a large heavy pan until very hot. Then mix the Parmesan with the egg whites and cayenne pepper, keeping aside a small quantity of cheese for dusting the balls. Using the remaining cheese to dust your hands, form the mixture into 12 small balls. Next deep fry the balls in two batches, until each is golden brown. Drain any excess oil on kitchen paper and serve immediately.
