Potato Chip Cookie Recipe Unique and Tasty

published by momofplenty on Jun 5, 2012

I’ll be honest, I do not like to cook much but when I do, I want it to be diferent and tasty. I get tired of the same old same old dishes and snacks.

so here is a unuque recipe from my sister. It is not exactly healthy, but these cookies are ever so delightful!

Here is what you need:

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup white sugar

1 cup shortening (I use Crisco)

2 eggs

Teaspoon of vanilla (imitation will do)

2cups of flour

1 teaspoon of baking soda (not baking powder)

pinch of salt

2 cups of oatmeal

2 cups of crushed potato chips (i use original flavor Lays)

1 cup of chopped nuts (I use walnuts)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F

Cream your sugars and shortening together.

Next, add the eggs and vanilla.

Add flour, salt and baking soda, then potato chips and nuts.

Roll inot balls (just smaller thna a golf ball), place on baking sheet and flatten with a fork.

Bake for 10 to 15 minutes.

These are unique and offer a different take on the old oatmeal cookies. If your looking for something new, give this recipe a try!

I do like cooking, but not baking, because I do think that ckes, biscuits and the like take too much time and little to enjoy. I get much more pleasure cooking a savoury meal to enjoy with whoever is at hand’s reach. Good share!

Years ago I met a lady who would bring potato chip cookies to work. I had never tasted anything so. Guess I’ll have to use your recipe. Thanks.

I think I’m afraid to make this…sugar loves to increase my pounds. And if I make this, I’ll just have to eat a lot.

Very interesting recipe. I haven’t used my oven since I’ve lived here, about 7 years. I like cookies, but if I make them, I would eat them. Thanks.
