Easy to Make Sandwiches

Absolutely delicious and really simple ideas to prepare sandwiches in no time for your lunch or supper.

RECIPE 1: Chicken Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 200g  chicken breast(cut into boneless cubes of about 1″)
  • 2 bread slices
  • 1 tomato slice(cut thick)
  • 2-3 fresh lettuce leaves
  • 1/2 tspn black pepper
  • salt to taste
  • 1 cheese slice
  • 1tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp oil

Method

  1.  In a pan heat oil and put in the boneless chicken cubes along with the salt and black pepper. Saute until the chicken is tender.
  2. Spread butter on both sides of the bread slices. Place the cheese slice on top of one bread  slice.
  3. Now put the cooked chicken over it and the slice of tomato and a fresh lettuce leaf.
  4. Top with the other buttered bread slice.
  5. Serve  with ketchup.

RECIPE 2: Tuna Sandwich

Ingredients:

1 can tuna

1/2 cup sweet corn

4-5 tablespoons light mayonnaise

white bread slices as required

seasoning to taste

Method:

1. shred tuna chunks and mix them well with mayonnaise,sweet corn and seasoning.

2. Spread the mixture to the bread slices.

3. Serve with fresh salad of your choice.

Enjoy!

Recipe 3: Veggie Sandwich

Ingredients:

2 medium sized potatoes(boiled,peeled and mashed)

1/2 cup frozen vegetables(steamed)

1 egg (beaten)

bread crumbs(optional)

seasoning to taste

bread slices as required

2-3 tbsp mayonnaise

ketchup or chilli sauce to taste

Method:

1.Mix together the steamed vegetables with mashed potatoes and season with salt and black pepper. Add some chilli flakes to give a spicy kick if you like.

2. Shape the mixture into a patty and coat with bread crumbs (if available) and then with the beaten egg.

3. Shallow fry both sides until golden brown.

4. Spread mayonnaise on the bread slices and place the patty on top. Add some ketchup/chilli sauce and serve with the salad of your  choice.

Recipe 4: Chicken Tikka Sandwich

Follow recipe 1 for chicken sandwich substituting salt and pepper with chicken tikka masala. For better flavour,marinade the chicken chunks for 15-20 minutes in the masala and then grill or sauté in a pan.
