Add a few extra ingredients to spice up family favorites at mealtime.

Spice up the Spaghetti

Trade your beef for chicken for a healthier Italian meal.  Slow cooked chicken breasts are an excellent alternative to browned hamburger meat.  Add a packet of spices to the slow cooked chicken for a zesty spin on spaghetti. 

 

Pesto and Parmesan Crescent Rolls

Add basil pesto to rolled out crescent roll dough for a flavorful side dish.  Add freshly grated parmesan cheese before rolling up dough into crescent shapes.  Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes, allowing tops to become golden brown.  Top with more grated parmesan cheese and serve warm.

 

Bacon Macaroni and Cheese

After cooking macaroni noodles, add melted Velveta cheese and 1/2 cup of crumbled bacon to turn regular mac and cheese into a hearty meal.  Real bacon bits can also be used in place of fresh cooked bacon.

 

A New Kind of Turkey Sandwich

Replace boring white bread with a wheat tortilla. Spread a thin layer of whipped cream cheese on tortilla, add freshly grated parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning.  Place a generous layer of sliced deli turkey on top.  Roll up and enjoy.
