Fried Sandwich Rolls: Ham and Cheese Appetizer
Here is a fried sandwich rolls recipe using ham and cheese that’s perfect for those little weekend gatherings at home with friends and family. They’re also perfect appetizers. Here’s how to make them.

Fried Sandwich Rolls Appetizer Recipe
Please note that I had posted this recipe before in Notecook as “Ham and Cheese Fried Loafers”
But since it had disappeared for some reason (likely due to editing glitches), I’ve decided to post it again here with modifications.
Fried Sandwich Rolls Ingredients
Bread loaf (each flattened like paper with a rolling pin)
Ham sliced into strips (3-4 inches)
Cheddar (soft) cheese strips (3-4 inches)
Eggs (beaten)
Japanese breading
Sugar (enough to be added to the eggs)
Cooking oil

Fried Sandwich Rolls Preparation and Cooking
Flatten the bread loaves until they’re as thin as paper. You can use a rolling pin or wine bottle. Add your strips of ham and cheese in the middle of each flat loaf of bread and then fold it to make a roll. Make as many as you wish, but usually, the whole pack of bread is enough.
Beat your eggs in a wide bowl. Next, have the Japanese breading ready in a dish. You will be dipping the sandwich rolls in the beaten eggs first before dipping them with the breading. The idea is to use the beaten eggs as your glue to make the breading stick to the sandwich rolls.

Dip and coat the rolls with breading one at a time then cook immediately in hot oil. Deep frying is an option, but it’s not required. Once the sandwich rolls are golden brown and crispy, they are ready. Remove them from the pan and slice each one diagonally. This way, you get two pieces from one roll! So there you have it! Your fried sandwich rolls with ham and cheese! It’s an appetizer that’s great for kids and adults!

It is a quick snack for kids, when they return from school. But baking would be better right? As it does not absorb much oil. Fried bread absorbs oil, but yet its delicious and crispy.
