Hotel Indigo
A review of the Marco Perrie White Steakhouse Bar and Grill in Newcastle.
HOTEL INDIGO.
THE Marco Perrie White Steakhouse Bar and grill is part of Hotel Indigo in Newcastle upon Tyne serves Steakhouse and Grill offerings as well as some simple comfort food dishes. Its decor is stylish and contemporary with a muted colour scheme, herringbone carpets, accent wall of geometric wallpaper and tables that are dressed with crisp white linen. The serving is slick and professional while remaining friendly.
I had a starter of beetroot and goat’s cheese salad with a walnut dressing while my wife decided to have prawn cocktail in Marie rose sauce and served with triangles of brown bread and butter.
My main course choice was 8ox fillet steak with chips that had been cooked in real beef dropping, grilled beef tomato and crispy onion rings. Anne opted for the roast rump of lamb a la dijonnais with pomme dauphinoise.
I had the box tree Eton mess in a cocktail glass while Anne had sherry trifle Wally lad.
