How to make paneer or cottage cheese at home

Ingredients

Milk – 1 litre

Fresh curd or 2 lemon

Heat milk in a vessel, when it starts boiling, add curd or lemon juice and reduce the flame for few minutes. Gently stir the milk. When the milk curdles completely  and clear water is separated, remove from fire. Allow it to cool. Strain through a muslin cloth, till the water drains out, hang the muslin cloth till all the water is drain out, do not squeeze it. Take one flat plate, place the muslin cloth on it and cover with another plate, keep some heavy thing on it, after half an hour remove, take flattened paneer in a plate and cut into desired shape. Don’t throw the water, it is called whey and is very nutritious, you can either use in gravy or while kneading wheat flour, it will make soft and tasty chappatis.

Method

Crumble paneer or cottage cheese and mix with all the other ingredients.

Apply butter to bread slices.

Put the stuffing between the two slices of bread and toast using sandwich toaster.
