Italian Meatball Sandwich Casserole

This casserole has a 30 minute preparation time, 30 minute cooking time. Therefore, it takes a total of 1 hour to fully prepare.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • (1 pound) Italian bread pan, cut into 1 inch cubes
  • (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 / 2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 c. Tea Italian seasoning
  • 1 / 4 c. Tea freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 / 3 cup chopped green onion
  • 1 / 4 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan
  • 2 cups grated mozzarella
  • 3 cups spaghetti sauce
  • 1 cup water
  •  2 cloves garlic, chopped

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (205 ° C).
  2. Combine onion, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese and ground beef. Roll into balls 1 inch in diameter and bake in a pan. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until the meat is no longer pink. Reduce oven temperature to 350 ° F (175 ° C).
  3. Place bread cubes in a single layer in 9×13 inch greased pan. Mix cream cheese, mayonnaise, Italian seasoning and black pepper until smooth. Spread this mixture on each bread cube. With 1 / 2 cup grated mozzarella cheese.
  4. In a large bowl, combine spaghetti sauce, water and garlic. Stir slightly meatballs. Pour over bread and cheese mixture into the pan, the rest of the mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
  5. Bake at 350 ° F (175 ° C) for 30 minutes or until hot.
