Labor Day Recipes: Barbecue Cheddar Hamburgers =)

Here is a good burger recipe for Labor Day barbecues or just one of your last outdoor cooking for the summer. Enjoy=)

From Barbecue Lovers’ II by Betty Crocker

1 pound ground beef

3 Tablespoons finely chopped onion

3 Tablespoons water

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1/3 cup barbecue sauce

4 slices cheddar cheese

Mix all ingredients except barbecue and cheese. Shape mixture into 4 patties, each about 3/4 inch thick

Grill patties about 4 inches fro medium coals 7 to 8 minutes, Brush patties with barbecue sauce, turn and brush other sides grill longer until thoroughly cooked so Mr. food poisoning doesn’t visit you.

About 1 minute before hambirgers are done, add 1 slice of cheese to each. Grill until cheese melts. Can b eserved on toasted buns if you want.
