A healthy and tasty sandwich Mediterranean style with tuna ,tomatoes and more…
There are lots of popular fillings like cheese, ham, etc…,but like every body know in the Mediterranean like to use the olive oil. It is nice taste and healthy too. When you can get fresh salads it can be used to fill up a nice and tasteful and healthy sandwich and instead of butter there are other things that make a good taste in a sandwich ,like a tomato, and tomato puree`, different texture and different taste.
When it comes for the filling instead the usual cheese ,ham , marmite etc.. ,there are the cans of tuna, that is healthy, and for those people who like them there are the anchovies, that they are not expensive to buy and has that salty taste for those who like some salty food . In the Mediterranean some of the people like to use raw onions ,instead of the spring onions for more taste and most of the time is the red onion. The red onions are a bit spicy more than the white ones ,but tasteful. There are the capers that people like to grow ,but sometimes you can find it growing up as a wild plant too. Lots of people go and pick them ,clean the capers properly and put them in some salt an vinegar. With all these, fresh and healthy ingredients a sandwich is very enjoyable to eat especially on a hot day. Now here there is how you can make a great sandwich. The type of bread you use is whatever you prefer everything taste good with this filling.

- A small can of tuna.
- A quarter of a cucumber
- A small, white or red onion
- One and a half teaspoon of capers
- Two leaves of lettuce
- A bit of salt and pepper
- Some olive oil.
Method
If you are using a roll ,cut from the middle, spread the tomato or the tomato puree` on the bread, drain the can of tuna and put in a bowl, chop the onions and cucumber in round pieces and chop the lettuce and mix with the tuna add the one and a half tea spoons of caper ,the salt and pepper and last but not least put some olive oil on all the ingridients, and mix everything with a fork. Now you can fill the sandwich and enjoy.
Tip: If you are using the anchovies instead of the tuna there is no need of the salt as the anchovies are already salted.
