Cute little cocktail rye bread can make tasty little pizzas!

Party Rye Pizza
1 6 ounce can tomato paste
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon anise seed
1/4 cup chopped onions
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 pound lean ground beef
20 slices party rye bread
Combine tomato paste, salt, garlic salt, oregano, pepper and anise seeds in a bowl and mix well. Stir in onion and mozzarella cheese. Add ground beef and mix well. Spread about 1 tablespoon ground beef mixture on each bread slice. Place on baking sheet. Broil 5 inches from heat source until brown. May also spread on buns or bagels.
Sausage Pizza Rye
1 pound ground beef
1 pound ground Italian sausage
1 pound Velveeta cheese, chipped
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon onion salt
2 8-ounce packages cocktail rye bread
Brown ground beef and sausage in skillet, stirring until crumbly; drain. Stir in Velveeta cheese. Cook until cheese melts, stirring constantly. Add oregano, garlic salt and onion salt; mix well Spread on bread slices. Place on baking sheet. Freeze until firm. Place desired amount of bread slices on broiler pan. Broil until bubbly. Goes well with salad or soup.
