Tuna spaghetti in the Philippines
Ever have the need for a quick meal for friends and relatives who visit you unannounced? If you have spaghetti, canned tuna, olive oil, salt, garlic, and onions, you already have what it takes to prepare a quick tuna spaghetti meal. It’s what we do in the Philippines. Here’s how to cook it.
Ingredients for Tuna Spaghetti
canned tuna (spicy or not, it depends)
onions (finely chopped)
How to Prepare Your Tuna Spaghetti
First cook the pasta then set it aside. For the sauce, first heat your pan. Add four table spoons of olive oil into the pan, then add the minced garlic and chopped onions. When the onions turn translucent, add the canned tuna. Stir for five minutes until the canned tuna is broken into small pieces, but note that you don’t need to do this if you don’t want to. Add salt to taste. Add the cooked pasta into your sauteed tuna. Mix well, then serve.
That’s it. As easy as one, two, three!
Oh, by the way, you can throw in some parsley if you wish. Ta ta!
