Six Delicious Recipes with Leftover Spaghetti

published by Scott Hallock on Jun 24, 2010

Making spaghetti is easy but we are always making too much. Have you ever wondered what do you do with all the leftovers?

Spaghetti is the choice of every kid, teenager and adult and one of those foods you can whip up in a flash.  The only problem is that we tend to make too much and have so many leftovers.

With the sauce already mixed into the leftover spaghetti, here are six delicious, fun and healthy recipes that will keep them coming back for more:

Spaghetti salad

Cold spaghetti on top and mixed into your favorite salad is a healthy choice.

Romaine lettuce, baby greens, carrots, cabbage and anything else topped with your favorite dressing will be a dish everyone will love.

Wormy hamburgers

The kids love this recipe, and it is a lot of fun to make.

Take regular ground beef and mix together with cold spaghetti into a bowl.  When you make your hamburger patties the spaghetti will be all through the hamburger weaving all through the meat and poking out resembling worms.  The fun part is to try and not laugh or gag when you eat your wormy hamburger.

Spaghetti tacos

Tacos are another popular food everyone loves so why not take the two and combine them together.

Take one large frying pan and use thin steak, hamburger meat or chicken.   Mix a heaping portion of spaghetti and the meat together and grill to perfection.  You can use hard or soft taco shells, cheese and your favorite taco sauce.

Spaghetti burritos

Burritos are less messy than tacos, and you can add many other ingredients to a rolled up tortilla.

Whatever you put into your burrito; bean and cheese, grilled steak or chicken add a good layer of hot spaghetti.

Spaghetti and cheese sandwich

This is a simple, quick and delicious snack.

Take 2 pieces of your favorite bread add slices of cheese, condiments and a heaping portion of cold spaghetti.  Try also making grilled spaghetti and cheese sandwiches for a tasty warm bite.

Spaghetti omelets

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

Omelets are easy to make with two or more eggs.  You can either mix in all of your other ingredients or cook the eggs first and then fold in all of your ingredients.  Either way, add in a good amount of spaghetti into the omelet and on top to enjoy a hearty nourishing breakfast.

Conclusion

Using left over spaghetti can be fun for the whole family, nutritious and a money saver.
