The Ultimate Triple-decker Thanksgiving Leftover Sandwich
Thanksgiving leftovers shouldn’t go to waste! Here’s a delicious recipe for making a Thanksgiving leftover sandwich.
INGREDIENTS:
3 slices of thick bread, such as challah
2 Tbsp butter
1/2 cup prepared mashed sweet potatoes
1/2 cup prepared cranberry sauce
4-6 thick-cut slices of turkey, light or dark meat, or both
1/2 cup prepared gravy
1/2 prepared bread stuffing
1/2 cup prepared mashed potatoes
DIRECTIONS:
1. Spread two slices of the bread with butter and toast lightly. Set the third slice aside.
2. Spread each slice with half of the sweet potatoes and then half of the cranberry sauce.
3. Place half of the turkey slices on each slice, on top of the sweet potatoes and cranberries.
4. Spread the stuffing mixture and then the mashed potatoes on top of each slice.
5. Take the third slice of bread and dip it in the gravy so that it’s thoroughly saturated. Place it on top of one of the sandwich halves and press down. Carefully place the two sandwich halves together. It should be symmetrical so that each half has layers in this order: sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy-dipped bread. Heat, if desired, but it tastes great cold!

I bet this has 1,000 calories in it, but it sounds good.
