Tuna Burrito: A New Take on Tuna Sandwiches
If you are a fan of Tuna sandwiches and Burritos, this may be for you.
After my family had tacos one night, there were some leftover shells. The next day I decided to make a tuna sandwich, and being the strange person that I am, I decided to use the shells instead of bread.
Adding cheese made it seem a lot like a burrito, and it just turned into a great recipe, IMHO.
This recipe may not be for everyone. Some may think it is really odd. However, I thought I would share it anyway. Some out there may find it enjoyable.

Ingredients: (for two servings)
- 1 can of tuna
- 2 Taco shells
- some cheese
- Mayonnaise (if you use this to make regular tuna sandwiches)
- Lettuce (optional)
- Tomatoes (optional)
- Salsa (optional)
- Olives (optional)
-
any other condiment you would like
Method:
- Make your tuna as you would if you were going to make a regular sandwich.
- Put the ingredients in the shell as you would if you were making a taco. Layer cheese, tuna, any of the vegetables you want all on top of each other.
- Wrap the shell as if you were making a burrito.
- Top with cheese.
- Microwave for 30 seconds, or until cheese is melted.
- Enjoy!

It sounds delicious but for me I would substitute the tuna for chicken or ham. I can’t bear tinned tuna or salmon.

This is the most creative tuna rec. I have ever come across. I must admit that I am not a fan of tuna, but this might change my mind because I do love a good burrito.
