Kids always like to eat cheese sandwich. This is something I tried with vegetables and lentils.

This is my invention to make my girls eat vegetables. One of my twin is a very picky eater and she never eats vegetables when I give her with rice. But she likes to eat grilled cheese sandwich and she will do anything for this one. So i told her that i will add veggies in the sandwich. First she said she will not eat, then i told her i will not make cheese sandwich. Then finally she agreed to eat veggies. So i tried making this one and she really likes this one and i am happy that she is eating vegetables every day and i try to change the vegetables every time. Basic veggie is potato. recipe is

Ingredients

  1. potato – 1 (small),
  2. Peas – 3 tbsp,
  3. Beans – 2 tbsp (chopped),
  4. carrots – 2 tbsp(chopped )
  5. spinach/green – 1 tbsp(i use chopped frozen spinach),
  6. dhall/lentil – 1 tbsp (any dhall which you want to give it to a kid),
  7. salt – as per taste(but you have to add cos we are adding veggies),
  8. Cheese singles – 1 or 2.
  9. Bread Slice – 2

Method

First cook all the veggies in microwave or on stove top including lentil. then mash it in a mixie/blender. I use this veggie paste in the place of jam. So take a half toasted bread slice, spread the veggie paste, put the cheese on top of it and take another bread slice, again spread the veggie paste and cover it. Then toast it in a pan till it becomes golden brown and the cheese melts. cut it into 4 pieces and serve it with tomato ketch up.
