Crispy Noodles – Hot Indian Snack
Delicious Hot Indian Snack. Simple, Easy & Amazing taste.
A wonderful hot snack of the South India with a delicious taste, that goes well with a cup of hot tea on a rainy evening. It is most often prepared on a Dashera or Diwali festival occasion and distributed to everyone along with a sweet dish, just a form of wishing others a happy festival. People from every religion just share each others festivals by distributing their festival dishes and wish each other.
Making of Crispy Noodles:
It is simple and easy to prepare this dish and it stays for months together and doesn’t get stale. Crispy noodles preparation needs a noodles maker with different kinds of discs that is available at any Indian Grocery store.

Ingredients:
- Rice flour – 2 cups
- Gram flour – ΒΌ cup
- Sesame seeds – 3 tsp
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Chilli powder – 2 tsp
- Salt – According to your taste
- Baking powder – pinch
- Oil
Method:
- Take the flours in a bowl and add sesame seeds, red chilli powder, baking-powder, salt and cumin seeds. Mix well.
- Make soft dough of the mixture by adding water
- Take small portion of this dough and place it in the Crispy noodles maker
- Heat oil in a pan and press the noodles maker over the pan. You can find the dough is dropped into long thin noodles (depending upon which kind of disc shape is inserted in the maker).
- Deep fry these noodles until they turn slight brown in color
- Remove the excess oil and store it in an air-tight container
- Serve it with a cup of hot tea on a rainy evening
Simple Notes: Using peanut oil for frying would make the dish tastier.
