Different Ways to Build your Taco or Burrito

published by CHRISTIAN EAVES on Nov 11, 2008

There are very few people who don’t eat tacos and burritos. Tacos and burritos are generally a Mexican dish, and many Americans have grown to love eating them.

The best thing about making a taco or burritos is that you can put just about anything you want on them. And making a taco or burrito can be lots of fun to create with your kids. Because they can put only the things they like to eat on them. This way their making there own special dish.

Many like there tacos and burritos with meat. And you can choose any kind of meat you desire. Whether it is turkey, beef, steak, pork, barbacoa, snake, or any other kind of meat you can think of will go great for your taco or burrito. Also the meat is cooked in what ever kind of seasoning one would like. Then there are the vegetables to put with it or not. Like lettuce, avocado, pico de gallo, union, and tomato. Of course cheese is a dairy product that is most desired by just about everyone. And for another topping one could put sour cream, red or green picante sauce, or add your secret special sauce or hot sauce on top. Also bacon bitts are used on top more than often. Oh! and who could forget about the refried beans. Which is a sin and maybe even a crime not to have with your tacos and burritos. One could have refried beans as a side dish or on the taco or burrito. Ok, maybe I’m exaggerating a little about it being a crime. But it is a very important ingredient to the success of your taco or burrito.

You, me and just about everybody on earth like to put there taco together in some different way, shape, fashion, order, or form. Ultimately resulting in some kind of taco or burrito.

And here are 4 examples of different ways people like there tacos or burritos.

  1. One could spread refried beans onto a tortilla. Add the meat. Then some cheese so the hot meat will melt your cheese, that’s why the cheese is next. Then add some avocado, union, tomato, lettuce, and then finally the sour cream sprinkled with bacon bits on top.
  2. Get a taco shell. Add some seasoned meat and then the cheese for a basic taco.
  3. Take a tortilla and spread sour cream on it. Sprinkle cheese, then hot seasoned meat, lettuce, tomato, union, and a little hot sauce. Then roll it up by folding the right and left side of the tortilla over the meat and vegetables. Now while holding the folded sides down with your fingers on both sides, start from the bottom and roll it upward. Then you’re ready to eat.
  4. Get a pan and add oil until its hot, you worm up the hard shell tacos. Then you put them on a side to take most of the grease out. Then once you see very little grease left on the shell add the meat of you choice. After you added the meat, then add lettuce, cheese, pico de gallo, sourer cream and some lemon. For those that like their tacos very spicy, add your salsa of your choice. I personally like to add habanero sauce. And for a side dish, add some Mexican rice and refried beans and enjoy.
