Easy Chayote Omelet Recipe
published by JK Kristie on Nov 20, 2008
An easy breezy healthy food recipe.
Ingredients:
- 1 large chayote (julienned)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 small onion (halved, julienned)
- 1 small tomato (halved, julienned)
- 2 cloves garlic (halved, julienned)
- 3 tsp olive oil
- ¼ tsp ground black pepper
- A pinch of salt to taste
Method:
1. Slice chayote lengthwise and rub both sliced sides together to take away the white sap.
2. Peel chayote and remove seed.
3. Cut into quarters and slice thinly (julienne).
4. Crack the eggs and put into a small bowl.
5. Add the salt
6. Over high heat, stir fry the chayote until tender (about a minute).
7. Add the garlic, tomatoes and onions until onions are golden brown.
8. Sprinkle the ground pepper.
9. Add the eggs and stir fry until cooked.
Ground pork or beef can also be added. The meat should be cooked first.

Hey JK. I’ve always needed a decent choko reciepe. What do you do with the stuff?
Did you know that that Supermarket Apple Pie isn’t apple at all? It really should be named Choko Pie. The Big Supermarkets fill the pie with choko because it’s less expensive.
Thanks for the recipe
