Energy Bars

A delicious and healthy snack.

Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
  • 40 large marshmallows
  • 1 1/2 c. Rice Krispies 
  • 1/2 c. peanuts
  • 1 1/2 c. Cheerios 
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1 c. chocolate chips

Method

Melt the margarine in a saucepan. Add the peanut butter and marshmallows. Stir the mixture until smooth and creamy. Add the Rice Krispies, peanuts, Cheerios, raisins and chocolate chips, mix together thoroughly. Spread in a greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Cut into squares. Store in a tightly covered container.

    Darla, these sound wonderful. I am going to try them. I am always looking for an afternoon pick me up.

    I agree with Vikram, this recipe is special enough to make the Food Network. Maybe will will see you there one day.
