Similar to a spicy open face taco or tostada.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of hamburger
  • 2 cans of chili beans
  • 2 cans of kidney beans
  • 1 can of Spanish-style vegetable soup
  • 1 can of tomato soup
  • 2 packages of taco seasoning
  • Onions, green pepper and celery
  • Chopped Tomatoes
  • Chopped Lettuce
  • Grated Cheddar Cheese
  • Corn Chips
  • Picante Sauce
  • Sour Cream

Method:

Brown the hamburger with lots of onions, green pepper and celery.

Add the rest of the ingredients at this time except crushed corn chips, chopped tomatoes, chopped lettuce, grated cheddar cheese, picante sauce and sour cream. These items will be used for the topping.

Simmer for about 1 ½ – 2 hours on very low heat.

To serve:

  • Crush corn chips on a plate.
  • Top with meat mixture, grated cheddar cheese, chopped tomatoes and chopped lettuce.
  • Add picante sauce if desired.
  • Add sour cream, if desired.
