My First Attempt at Persian Cuisine
This is all about trying new recipe that I havent tried before. And it really went well. So I’m sharing this recipe with all of you.
I tried some Persian food from my coworker and it was so good, so I asked her how to make it and she gave me all the ingredients and the instructions on how to cook it. It was pretty easy and it went well. My husband liked it so much and I’m happy to have learned a new recipe. Their food (persian food) is really good and healthy too. My husband and I like to try international food so we are really looking forward to trying more different kinds of food from other countries.
So the process to make the dish was pretty easy. You can even find it in your favorite cookbooks or online recipe sites. Most of the time they use beef for this entree but I used chicken instead. I think it will have a different taste if you use other meats but the process of cooking it is still the same.
I know that each person will cook it differently or will be using different ingredients but I just stuck to what my coworker gave me.
Here’s the ingredients:
EggplantTomato pasteOnionsSaltPepperOilChicken/Beef/LambTurmericCinnamon (optional)Water
How to cook it:
1.) Prepare all of your ingredients.2.) Chopped the onions ,cut the eggplant lengthwise, and cut the chicken/beef into cubes.3.) Fry the eggplant into separate pan, then put it on a plate.4.) Get another pan to fry your onions until it turns gold.5.) Add pepper and your chicken/beef with enough water and let it boil or until it’s almost cook.6.) Add your fried eggplant, and tomato paste and let it simmer.7.) Then you can add your turmeric.8.) Add cinnamon (optional)9.) Add salt to taste.10.) You can add cut tomatoes (in circles) for decoration.
I did not take any pictures after I cooked it. We totally forgot to take one since we were both excited to eat it right away, and since we’re both hungry already at that time (haha).If you wanna try to make it the name of the dish is Khoresht Bademjan.

hi holly! not that much sauce, but you can put a lot if you like because the sauce really taste good.=)

I think I tried this one before at a Persian restaurant. I’m going to try to cook this – I’ll let you know how it turns out.

Thanks for posting this! I tried your recipe before but forgot to post.
Now I’ve tried it with and without cinnamon. I like it better WITH!
