Potato Cakes

Mouth watering Indian potato cakes.

Ingredients

  • 3 big potatoes, skinned
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup of milk powder
  • ½ cup grated cheese (any preference)
  • ½ cup liquid milk
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Pepper and salt (for taste)

Method

  1. Wash potatoes and slice thinly
  2. In a bowl mix in minced potatoes, flour, milk powder, liquid milk, pepper and salt
  3. Add cheese and butter
  4. Stir mixture until a thick mixture is obtained (add more flour if necessary)
  5. Heat oil
  6. With a tablespoon, add a knob of mixture to oil
  7. Serve hot
