Puffed Wheat Squares

Delicious, easy to make treat. Great for kid’s lunches.
Ingredients
- 1/3 Cup Butter or margarine
- 2/3 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Corn Syrup
- 2 Tbsp Cocoa
- 1 Tsp Vanilla
- 7 1/2 Cups Puffed Wheat
Method
- Combine all ingredients except puffed wheat in a medium sized pot.
- Heat on medium, stirring continually until mixture begins to bubble.
- Measure puffed wheat into a large mixing bowl.
- Pour hot mixture over the puffed wheat and mix thoroughly.
- Press the mixture into a greased lasagna sized pan.
- Put in the refrigerator for a couple of hours for easier slicing.
Enjoy!
Makes 16-24 squares.
