Puffed Wheat Squares

Delicious, easy to make treat. Great for kid’s lunches.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 Cup     Butter or margarine
  • 2/3 Cup     Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup     Corn Syrup
  • 2 Tbsp       Cocoa
  • 1 Tsp         Vanilla
  • 7 1/2 Cups  Puffed Wheat

Method

  1. Combine all ingredients except puffed wheat in a medium sized pot.
  2. Heat on medium, stirring continually until mixture begins to bubble.
  3. Measure puffed wheat into a large mixing bowl.
  4. Pour hot mixture over the puffed wheat and mix thoroughly.
  5. Press the mixture into a greased lasagna sized pan.
  6. Put in the refrigerator for a couple of hours for easier slicing.

Enjoy!

Makes 16-24 squares.
