Soy Cutlet

Soy beans contain high amounts of protein, including all essential amino acids. Soy beans are also a rich source of calcium, iron, zinc, phosphorus, magnesium, B-vitamins, omega three fatty acids and fiber.

INGREDIENTS

  • Soy Granules – 100 gms
  • Potatoes – 2 Nos. (mediumsm sized)
  • Bread Crumbs – 100 gms
  • Coriander Seeds – 1 tsp
  • Ginger-Garlic Paste – 1 tbsp
  • Green Chillies – 4 Nos.
  • Red Chilly Powder – 5 gms
  • Coriander Powder – 10 gms
  • Turmeric Powder – 5 gms
  • Green Coriander Leaves – 1 bunch
  • Salt – To Taste
  • Oil – For deep frying

METHOD

  1. Soak soy granules in warm water for 15-20 minutes. Squeeze to remove excess water.
  2. Boil potatoes, peel and mash the.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add coriander seeds. When it crackles, add ginger-garlic paste and stir for one minute.
  4. Add red chilly powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder while stirr continuously.
  5. Then add soy granules, cook till granules are cooked and dry.
  6. Add potatoes, put salt and continue cooking till all the ingredients completely dries up.
  7. Remove and cool it, now mix well with breadcrumbs.
  8. Divide into small equal portions and give them a cutlet shape.
  9. Deep fry in moderate hot oil until crisp.
  10. Serve hot with tamarind sauce and mint sauce.
