Tomato Toast Recipe

Looking for a light snack or and appitizer for dinner try this fabulous tomato toast recipe. The delicious taste of fried tomatoes with Parmesan cheese, drizzeled with olive oil and balsamic vinger a top crispy bread is amazing.

This wonderful tomato toast recipe is really easy to make. It is the perfect appetizer for dinner and it can also be, a nice little snack just about any time of day. The delicious tomato toast recipe should only take about 15 to 20 minutes to prepare and cook.

Ingredients

  • Olive Oil (For Brushing and Drizzling)
  • 6 Large Tomatoes (Thickly Sliced)
  • 4 Thick Slices of Fresh Bread
  • Balsamic Vinegar (For Drizzling)
  • 2oz Parmesan Cheese (Shaved)
  • Salt and Freshly Ground Black Pepper

Preparation

Start by brushing a heavy frying pan with oil, and placing it over a high heat. Then add the tomato slices and fry them for about three minutes. Flip once and only cook until the tomatoes are soft and slightly blackened. Meanwhile, lightly toast the bread under a grill or in a toaster. Put the Fried tomatoes on the warm toast.

Finish by drizzling each portion with a little olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Then sprinkle each with the Parmesan cheese shavings (You may wont to bake for 10 minutes to melt the cheese) and season with salt and pepper. It’s best to serve this tomato toast immediately after making.
