Wheat Kichadi
Indian food is so tasty.
Ingredients:
a) 3/4 cup broken wheat
b) 1/4 cup green gram
c) green chilliies 3 or as per taste
d) ginger 1/4″
e) garlic 2 slice
f) cinnamon 2”
g) whole black pepper 5
h) vegetables: carrot 1, french beens 10, potato 1, tomato 1, green peace 25 grams
i) seasoning: table spoon oil, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves
j) Salt for taste
k) coriander leaves
Preparation:
Pressure cooker is heated on a medium flame. Heat oil for 3 minutes and seson with mustard, cumin, black pepper, cinnamon, curry leaves, crushed ginger and garlic
Add sliced green chillies, and add broken wheat and gram. Fry for 5 minutes
Add cut vegetables and fry for another 2 minutes
Now add 3 cups of water
Pressure cook for 15 minutes or till 3 whistles.
Serve hot after garnishing with coriander leaves
