Yummy and Fun Super Bowl Snacks

Treat your guests and yourself to some yummy and fun Super Bowl snack food. Create a baked potato bar or some cake kabobs to munch on during those important touch downs.

The Super Bowl may be only three weeks away but it’s time to plan your party and what you’re going to serve. Make sure the food reflects the atmosphere – fun . You can go with snacks and treats that can be eaten in front of a big screen TV.

  1. Baked potato bar. This is similar to the omelet bar concept you u see at fancy brunches. Have guests pick out their filling for baked potatoes. Stuffing can range from chili to simple sour cream and butter. Have different kind of veggies from steamed (done quick in the microwave) to stir fried for those on a health kick. You can also get shredded ham and pork to fill the taters with for those meat addicts in your crowd.
  2. Any alarm wings. Don’t cater to just one taste. You can make a variety of different alarm wings from one to six alarm. Just put colorful signs on the plates to let guests know what they’re eating. You can also vary the spices from chili to curry to cracked pepper .Also have some cool dipping sauces like the usual ranch dressing or a mint sour cream to alleviate the spiciness
  3. Mini fondues. A fondue party for thirty can be a guaranteed mess. However you can divide your party into groups of three or four and have them share little fondues. (This is a good time to tap into family and friends and borrow their sets) . You can set out with three or four different kinds of chesses or have a few veggie pots for those who love broccoli and onion in their fondues.
  4. Skinny subs. Instead of those big, hearty ones try a more pared down version. Get a wide loaf of Italian bread and cut down the middle. Then cut into four to six inch slices to be filled with a variety of fillings. You can also have a sub bar where people create their favorites with meats, veggies and dressings. This make s up for those leftover sandwiches that sometimes accompany a Super bowl party.
  5. Cheesecake sundaes. Cut a cheese cake into small squares or triangles. Layer them with ice cream and fruit such as banana and cherries into tumblers or parfait glasses. Finish with some chocolate syrup, nuts and whipped cream

6 Cake kabobs. Take a regular store bought pound cake and cut into cubes. Skewer these with marshmallows and fruits. Dip into small bowls of caramel or chocolate sauce.

Make your Super Bowl party fun with great snacks . Your guests may concentrate more on eating these goodies than they will on their favorite teams!
