A very delicious recipe for cinnamon rolls made with the bread machine.

There is no better scent on a cold winter morning than fresh cinnamon rolls baking in the oven. Once a time-consuming chore, the making of this breakfast treat is now much easier with the use of an electric bread machine. With this recipe, cinnamon rolls are no longer just a treat for special occasions!

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup water
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • ¼ cup softened butter or margarine
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons non-fat dry milk
  • 1 ½ teaspoons yeast

Method

Add ingredients to bread machine pan in above order and set on dough cycle. Turn out onto lightly floured board. Roll out to 10 x 18” rectangle. Brush with ¼ cup melted butter and sprinkle with 1/3 cup sugar mixed with 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Starting a long end, roll up and pinch seams together. Measure and cut twelve equal pieces. In rectangular cake pan, melt ½ cup butter and sprinkle with ½ cup brown sugar. Arrange rolls in pan with cut side up. Let rise 1 hour. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes or until brown. Turn out onto tray to cool.
