Breadmaker Potato Bread

published by suzette gum on May 7, 2009

This bread is so delicious. I was making my usual breadmaker bread and thought I would see what the results would be if I added some potato. The result was fantastic. Gave the bread more body and the crust browned to a beautiful golden brown.

  • Ingredients

  • 3 cups multigrain flour
  • 2 teaspoons yeast
  • 1 1/4 cups milk – or milk and water works well
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 cup warm mashed potato – no need to add milk or butter, just cook in the microwave until soft
  • Method

  • Place all ingredients in your breadmaker and set to french setting.
  • Once bread has finished remove pan from breadmaker and allow to cool for 10 minutes.  Remove bread from pan and allow to cool on a cake rack.

Enjoy!!
