Buttermilk Biscuits

2 cups sifted flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup shortening
1 cup buttermilk
Preheat oven to 475*. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and soda. Cut in shortening until like coarse cornmeal. Stir in buttermilk with fork until soft dough forms. Knead and roll out on lightly floured board. Cut to desired thickness. Bake 10 minutes.
