Chocolate-chips Oat Biscuits

Makes 60 crumbly and crunchy biscuits.

115g plain flour

1/2tsp bicarbonate of soda

1/4tsp baking powder

1/4tsp salt

115g butter or margarine

115g caster sugar

100g light brown sugar

1 egg

1/2tsp vanilla essence

85g rolled oats

170g plain chocolate chips

methods:-

- preheat oven at 180 degree Celsius. grease baking trays.

- sift the flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda and salt into a mixing bowl then set aside.

- using an electric mixture, cream together butter or margarine and sugar together. add the egg and vanilla and beat till light and fluffy.

- add the flour mixture and beat on low speed till thoroughly blended.

- stir in rolled oats and chocolate chips. mix them well with a wooden spoon. the dough should be crumbly.

- drop heaped teaspoonfuls of the mixture onto prepared baking trays, and press them tenderly to mold. bake for about 15 mins.
