Easy Cinnamon Raisin Bread Recipe.

you love Cinnamon Raisin Bread? but not the price in the store . Well here is a recipe that you will love and it is not hard to make at all

Ingredients

  • 3 Packets of Active Dry yeast
  • 1 ½ Cups warm milk
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • ½ Cup warm water
  • 2/3 Cup sugar
  • ½ Cup Butter or margarine softened
  • 3 teaspoons Salt
  • 6 to 7 Cups Flour
  • 2 Cups Raisins
  • 2 Cups mixed Cinnamon and Sugar

Method

  1. In a small bowl combine your yeast, warm water, and stir till yeast is dissolved . Then stir in 1 teaspoon sugar and let it stand for 5 to 8 minutes or until foamy .

  2. In a larger bowl mix together warm milk, sugar, salt and butter .

  3. Stir in your yeast mixture slowly making sure it is mixed thoroughly .

  4. Then add 2 Cups of flour mix well .

  5. By hand add another 4 Cups of flour 1 cup at a time. Until a still dough is formed. If dough is still tacky add your remaining flour and knead until dough is smooth and stretchy ( approximately takes 5 to 8 minutes .

  6. Place dough in a lightly oil bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and a towel let rise for 2 hours

  7. Punch down dough and divide in half .

  8. Roll out halves with a rolling pin

  9. In 1 half add 1 cup of raisins and a ½ cup of the Cinnamon sugar mixture . Repeat with 2nd half of dough,

  10. Fold over several times then form in to loaf and roll in to rest of cinnamon sugar mixture . Place in a greased loaf pan and cover again for 1 hour and let rise

  11. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes
