Cream Biscuits

Tasty Southern biscuits that go good with ham filling.

2 c. self-rising flour, + more for dusting

1 tbps. sugar

1 1/2 c. heavy whipping cream

Preheat oven to 500 deg. F.  In med. bowl, stir together flour, sugar & cream til dough forms ball.  Turn dough out onto surface dusted w/ additional flour.  Fold dough in 1/2 & knead 5-7 x’s, adding just enough flour to keep dough from sticking to your hands.  Gently roll out dough to 1/2″ thickness.  Using 3″ biscuit cutter coated w/ flour, cut dough into biscuits.  Place on baking sheet coated w/ cooking spray, leaving @ least 1″ between ea. biscuit.  Bake 10 min. or til golden brown.  Prep time:  5 min.  Cook time:  10 min.  Makes 10-12 biscuits.
