A detailed recipe for making homemade French Toast that will make your mouth water.

Homemade French Toast

What you need:

-a loaf of white, wheat, or whole grain bread*

-anywhere from two to a dozen eggs (brown or white) depending on the amount you want to make

-any kind of milk (1%, 2%, nonfat, whole fat) but I find that 2% is the best due to being light but tasty

-margarine or butter to grease the pan (I would not recommend “Pam” spray or any other kind of spray greasers because they don’t have the same rich taste that butter does

-a medium-large sized frying pan, a bowl, and a spatula

* Got stale bread?  No problem.  Stale bread is fine to use because when it is cooked it is no different than regular bread.

Proportions

Per person:

-2 eggs

-1 cup of milk

-4-6 cut in half pieces of bread depending on how much you want

-about 2 tablespoons of butter per batch

How to cook

Step 1, Prepare the Ingredients: Take your pieces of bread, stack them up, and cut them all in half.  It is important to use a sharp knife to make nice looking slices.

Next, get out your bowl, your eggs, and your milk.  First crack your eggs and put them in the bowl.  Then, as your mixing up your eggs, add your milk.  Stir until the eggs have dissolved into the milk (it should be a light yellowish color).  Get out your spatula and margarine and start your burner.

Step 2, Cooking: Add your margarine to your pan and mix it around till its melts.  Now, before you put your bread in the pan, dip it in the egg/milk mix until it is soaked.  Then put your pieces in the pan and cook on one side till it is a golden brown color.  Then flip it and let it cook until it is also a golden brown color.  Then you take the pan off the burner, and place your now absolutely delicious smelling French Toast on your plate, and enjoy your meal!

Thanks for the views, and I hope you have a great time making this wonderful meal!
