Galette-belgian Hot Iron Cakes

1/2 pound butter, softened

1 cup brown sugar, packed

2 teaspoons baking powder

2 cups flour

1 cup sugar

6 eggs

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 tablespoon brandy, optional

Cream butter and sugars. Blend in eggs. Sift together baking powder, cinnamon and flour and add to creamed mixture. Stir in brandy. Bake in a well greased waffle iron until done.
