Halibut

4 slices bacon

2 pounds sliced halibut (other fish works well, also)

1 small onion

1 bay leaf

1/2 cup buttered bread crumbs

Lay slices of bacon on bottom of baking dish. Add the onion slices, very thin, and the bay leaf. On this, lay the slices of fish and cover with buttered bread crumbs. Bake 40 minutes in a 400 degree oven. Serve garnished with lemon, parsley and paprika.
