Homemade Funnel Cakes (Done in Five Easy Steps)

Funnel cakes are a treat one could only enjoy at state fairs…
Why not enjoy ‘em at home,whenever you crave some of these
heavenly delights!

  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup of milk
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Step 1: Combine all dry ingredients

Step 2: Beat eggs with the milk then add to dry ingredients mixture

Step 3: In a deep pan, place 2 cups of oil. Wait till hot enough(you may test this by dropping little sprinkles of water and it sizzles,that means the temperature’s already right)

Step 4: Place batter in a piping bag*,drop into the pan using circular strokes from the inner part going outwards making spirals.

Step 5: Wait for each side to turn golden brown then serve them by adding sprinkles of powdered sugar to garnish.

* to substitute piping bags, you may use a Ziploc bag and cut off a small part off one corner.
