How to Make a Basic Butter Cake

Do you know’ how to make a basic butter cake? It’s very easy and even your little daughter could try on this. I hope to show you in this article how to make a basic butter cake.

Ingredients

  • 100g butter.
  • 100g sugar
  • 100g flour
  • 2 large size eggs 
  • 1 tea spoon vanilla essence
  • ½ tea spoon baking powder. 

Method

  1. First, place the softened butter and sugar in to the mixing bowl and beat it until light and fluffy.
  2. Next, add the egg whites then yolks in to another bowl and beat well. Add the vanilla essence and beat. It can be added some salt if necessary.  
  3. Then pour the beaten eggs in to the butter and sugar mixture and beat 1 minute. 
  4. Mix the flour and baking powder and sift properly.
  5. Slowly stir the flour in to the butter- sugar and eggs mixture.
  6. Finally, spoon the batter in to the prepared cake tin and bake at 190C for 35-40 minutes.
  7. Allow cooling in the tin for 15 minutes before turning out on to a wire cooling rack.
