Italian Easter Bread

What else is to be said but Delicious!
Ingredients
- 2 3/4 cups to 3 1/4 cups of flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 package dry yeast
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons of oleo
- 2 eggs (at room temperature)
- 1/2 teaspoon anise seed or anise flavoring (this can be adjusted to your taste)
Method
In a large bowl, combine 1 cup flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Heat milk and oleo in a saucepan until warm, 120 degrees Fahrenheit to 130 degrees Fahrenheit. Add to dry ingredients and mix well. Add eggs adn rest of ingredients. Min in enough flour to make soft, firm dough. Place in a greased bowl. Cover and let rise until it doubles in size. Punch down and divide into 2 parts. Poll into 2 (36 inch) ropes and twist together. Place in a ring on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
