Kind of Healthy Double Chocolate Walnut Banana Bread
Here is a recipe that is somewhat healthy compared to other banana breads. It’s super moist and tasty, with a little bit of chocolate and hint of crunch!
Kind of Healthy Double Chocolate Walnut Banana Bread

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup dark rye flour
- 1 cup whole wheat bread flour
- 1/2 cup oat bran
- 1/4 cup wheat bran
- 2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup walnut pieces
- 3 overripe bananas
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup apple sauce
- 1/5 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup Splenda
- 1 Tsp baking soda
- 1 Tsp baking powder
- 1 Tsp vanilla extract
- 1 Tbsp cinnamon
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350oF
- In a large bowl, mash together all wet ingredients
- In a separate bowl, mix together dry ingredients
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet
- Pour into loaf pan and bake for 50 minutes
- Let cool before cutting or removing from pan
- Enjoy!
