Nannie’s Ice Box Rolls

Recipe for dinner rolls.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 T Crisco
  • 2 T sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • Dry yeast

Method

  1. Add flour to make stiff dough.
  2. Put out on board and knead ’til soft and pliable.
  3. Let rise til double in size.
  4. Take half of this amount and make cut rolls.
  5. Knead in little more flour.
  6. Grease tops of rolls and also what you put in refrigerator.
  7. Knead down refrigerated amount daily until used.
