Guide and recipe of how to make Belgium biscuits.

This is an absolute favourite of mine. It is great for school lunches or for a snack or just for some baking in the cuboard. I recommend you try this you won’t regret it.

First of all turn your oven on to 180 degree’s Celsius and grease a try to put your biscuits on.

Now to start of you need 125 grams of butter,75 grams of brown sugar and 1 teaspoon of mixed spices. Cream these three ingredients together.Next you need to add one egg and beat the mixture.

Then comes the dry ingredients you will need 1 teaspoon of Cinnamon, 1 teaspoon of ground ginger,225 grams of flour or 125 grams of flour and 125 grams of ground rice and lastly 1 teaspoon of baking powder. Once you have added all these mix them in.

Now you need to knead the mixture on a floured board, bench or table.Once you have done this roll it out thin and cut out into to round biscuit shapes. Put in the oven for 15-20 minutes at 180 degree’s Celsius. Now you can ice the top of the biscuit and add some raspberry jam you can also add angelica or cherry.

Hope you enjoy this recipe.

Happy cooking.
